Background
Wisynco Group Ltd, a leading manufacturing and distribution company in the Caribbean and a household name in Jamaica, needed to modernize warehouse operations. Their existing system for tracking warehouse activity—especially the performance of pickers—was entirely paper-based.
Pickers are warehouse staff responsible for retrieving goods according to purchase orders. Picked items are brought to loading bays where trucks are staged for delivery. Wisynco runs a performance-based system that incentivizes speed and accuracy, but manual recordkeeping slowed operations and introduced errors.
To address this, Kargil Solutions was tasked with building a digital warehouse management solution. The application was named “PICK AND LOAD” (PNL).
Challenge
The initial version of PNL was built using an expensive, rigid development tool. As Wisynco’s needs grew, new feature requests made the system increasingly complex and difficult to maintain.
A major turning point came when Wisynco asked for a module to connect truck drivers directly with assigned delivery jobs. This module required:
- Real-time notifications via WhatsApp and/or the PNL mobile app when deliveries were ready.
- Notifications targeted only to eligible drivers based on load criteria.
- First-come-first-serve acceptance for drivers.
- Automatic delivery details (bay number, load contents, delivery address, etc.) for confirmed drivers.
The complexity of integrating such a feature into the existing platform pushed Kargil Solutions to seek a more powerful and flexible framework.

Solution
Kargil Solutions proposed a complete rewrite of PNL using Jmix. The goal: deliver a more maintainable, high-performing application that could handle both existing workflows and the new driver module.
With Jmix, the development team was able to:
